We work through the beds by hand, clear the cracks in paths and paving, get through the gravel and pebble areas, and rake the mulch back into place after. Everything pulled leaves with us as green waste.
Weeding is the job that never feels worth starting because it never feels finished. But a garden that gets weeded properly a few times a year is a different garden. The plants you chose get the water and the light, and the beds hold their shape.
We pull roots rather than snapping tops, so it stays clear for longer instead of coming back within the fortnight.
